Our winery is located in Johannisberg, the birthplace of the Spätlese, below Johannisberg Castle. The picturesque, centuries-old mill is surrounded by meadows and pastures of the Elsterbach valley, through which a romantic little stream meanders. Our idyllic vineyard invites wine connoisseurs to a special kind of wine experience.

Our strength is the variety. On 5 hectares of vineyards in Johannisberg, Geisenheim, Winkel, Assmannshausen and Lorch, we grow Riesling and other white grapes as well as the red grape varieties Pinot Noir, Dornfelder and Regent.

Our top vineyards include the Assmannshäuser Höllenberg, the Johannisberger Hölle and the Geisenheimer Kläuserweg. For over ten years, the Schamari-Mühle winery has been featured in the Gault Millau wine guide and in the Feinschmecker wine gourmet.
