The tradition of the old grain mill meets the modernity of the new winery. We, the two winegrowers Thomas and Martin Philipps, are recultivating fallow vineyards against the trend in order to preserve the region's millennia-old wine-growing tradition. Our vineyards are mostly on Devonian slate soils on steep slopes and are mainly planted with Riesling, Müller-Thurgau, Red Riesling, Pinot Blanc and Pinot Noir, as well as new fungus-resistant grape varieties.
As winegrowers, we work in and with nature all day long and produce a natural product that brings with it new exciting challenges every year. Therefore, we work according to the guidelines of organic viticulture. This is how characteristic wines, characterized by minerality and fruity aromas, develop.
