Anyone who raves about the “Wildsau” from Martinsthal has enjoyed the pear and peach-scented Riesling from Peter and Julia Seyffardt's vineyard of the same name, either in the vinotheque or at the estate bar. Our wines are mineral and delicate and are characterized by their finesse and longevity. They convey drinking pleasure and joie de vivre.
Quality, precision and the right blend of tradition and modernity - that is what we at the Diefenhardt winery stand for. We want to produce wines that give people pleasure, as a companion for the beautiful and enjoyable moments in life. Today, the winery is run by our family in the fourth and fifth generation. Jakob Diefenhardt, the great-great-grandfather, acquired the estate in Martinsthal from Baron von Reichenau in 1917.
Today, Julia is the fifth generation of the family to work at the winery. After completing a degree in viticulture in Geisenheim and gaining experience abroad in South Africa and France, she has been running the family winery in Eltville-Martinsthal in the Rheingau region together with her father Peter since 2014.
