A Prussian milestone from 1818 is located on the federal road B9 south of the entrance to the village. The obelisk made of basalt lava stone is marked with distance information to Cologne, Koblenz and Mainz in Prussian mile.
Benches are placed in the base stone on both sides. Bumpers or wheel deflectors protect the obelisk from possible damage. Apart from the milestone in Niederheimbach, milestones have survived in Boppard and in Brey, in St. Goar-Fellen and south of Oberwesel.
