This building with half-timbered upper floor was built in the 14th century. You find an octagonal stair tower which is decorated with an emblem. In the years 1527-1606 it was the “Märkerhof” of the Lords of Nassau-Sporkenburg. Since 1998 it houses the “Städtische Bühne”, the urban theatre, that has been becoming a cultural centre of the region in the last years. From time to time there are changing exhibitions in the foyer which can be visited.
