Gottesthal Monastery was a Cistercian nunnery near Oestrich, a district of Oestrich-Winkel in the Rheingau-Taunus district of Hesse Gottesthal is located in the middle of vineyards about one and a half kilometers northwest of the center of Oestrich on the Pfingstbach, near the Lohmühle and the confluence of the Dornbach at an altitude of 144 meters. The road leading there from Oestrich is called Gottesthal. It leads on to a series of mills located above it, the Gottesthaler Mühle or Kremers Mühle, followed by Kühns Mühle, Pfingstmühle and finally Korns Mühle, also known as Obere Mühle, at the edge of the forest. The vineyard area around the monastic relics is known as the monastery garden. Vollrads Castle to the southwest and Hallgarten to the northeast are both around one and a half kilometers away.
