Harbor Park Rüdesheim

At the southern beginning of the UNESCO World Heritage site, situated directly on the Rhine on a former Rhine island, lies the Harbor Park, which was designed in previous years as a public park in the style of an English landscape garden.

For the Federal Garden Exhibition in Koblenz, work began to modernize and redesign the park in various places, a renovation that is still not completed to this day. The park features a variety of different tree species, with a black poplar on the Rhine, serving as a natural monument, representing a special highlight.

Additionally, the nearly one-kilometer-long plane tree avenue is another attraction, at the beginning or end of which, depending on where your visit starts, is the impressive debris field of the Hindenburg Bridge that was blown up during World War II. The areas in the park are divided into individual sections with different themes.

In close proximity, you will find various recreational facilities as well as the landing stages for river cruise ships located by the Rhine. The location of the Harbor Park at the busy docking areas for shipping, along with the view of the wide Rhine, makes it a special place that you will hopefully also agree to after your visit!
