Start right away with a wonderful castle hike from Johannisberg Castle to Vollrads Castle with a fantastic view of the Rhine. (Length of the tour: 6,96 km or approx. 1.50 h) Other hiking routes are: the Rheinsteig, the Rheinhöhenweg, the Rheingauer Klostersteig, the Rheingauer Riesling path and much more. In the middle of nature and to far from Rüdesheim with the world-famous Drosselgasse, the historic Niederwald monument, the Hildegardiskloster or fantastic boat tours, for example to the legendary Loreley Rock. Or how about a detour to Reinhardtshausen Castle in Erbach, crass Castle in Eltville or the world-famous Eberbach Monastery, the filming location for the film classic "In the Name of the Rose"? The picturesque rose town Eltville also attracts thousands of visitors every year to the Rose Days on the first weekend in June.
