Das Rebenhaus
Am Niederwald 2, 65385 Rüdesheim am Rhein
Fresh Rhine Romance
The Rebenhaus has been part of the panorama at Rüdesheimer Niederwald for over a hundred years.
Built around 1880, when the cog railway led to the Niederwald, it was initially a pastry shop and café, and since the 1950s, it has been a popular excursion and observation restaurant.
The greatest attraction has always been the unique beautiful location below the Niederwald Monument and the Temple, with the spectacular view from the terrace over vineyards and the Rhine Valley.
Location
The Niederwald Monument in Rüdesheim am Rhein attracts about 1.8 million visitors annually from Germany and around the world. It is the most visited monument in Hesse. If one wishes to walk down to Rüdesheim through the vineyards after visiting the monument, one passes right by the entrance of the Rebenhaus. A staircase leads from the temple to the vineyard paths.
