"Am Unkenbaum" is a popular resting place and the first "resting point" of the Rheingau Klostersteig.

In the meantime, the Unkenbaum lies felled at the edge of the path and has lost almost all of its bark over the years and has grown moss instead. A look into the trunk reveals why the tree that gave it its name had to be felled. Just pause here and trace the impulse: "Was that my speed? Was I perhaps going too fast? Or even too slow? Where am I right now?"
